Samsung’s QD-OLED makes its way into Acer’s 49-inch gaming monitor

Up until now, Acer has launched many gaming monitors with Samsung Display’s QD-OLED display panels. Now, the company has brought another one to the market.

Acer has launched the Acer Predator X49 V gaming monitor. It features Samsung Display’s 48.9-inch QD-OLED panel with 1800R curvature, 5,120 x 1,440 pixels resolution, 144Hz refresh rate with support for AMD FreeSync Premium, 0.03ms response time, 1,000 nits of peak brightness, support for HDR10, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. It has two 5W speakers in a stereo configuration.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, one USB Type-C port with 90W Power Delivery, two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-B port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Its stand is adjustable for height and tilt. Other features include Picture-in-Picture, Picture-by-Picture, and KVM switch. Acer has priced it at $1,600 but didn’t provide any details about when it will make the monitor available to purchase.
